Station Info

Automatic weather station used is a Davis Vantage Pro2 Wireless which can be bought in New Zealand from here. Rain bucket resolution is .2mm. The temperature and humidity sensors are shielded in a solar radiation shield in an open paddock resulting in highly satisfactory reading conditions.
Anonemeter is split seperate from the integrated sensor suite (ISS) and is sent up 6m above the roof peak, totalling 18m AGL on a hill, meaning the interferance of trees and other buildings is minimal. The wireless signal from the anonemeter is transmitted to a wireless repeater sitting by the ISS where it is then hopped onto the console directly every 2.5 seconds.
